Danya Mathialakan, BSc, BCaBA


Danya Mathialakan is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) with an extensive background in behavioral therapy. She began her career in 2011 as a behavioral therapist after completing her degree in Psychology, and founded her own company in 2015 to better serve children and families in need of specialized support. In 2021, Danya earned her BCaBA certification, further solidifying her expertise in the field.

With over a decade of experience, Danya has worked with children as young as 18 months to 18 years old. Her experience covers a wide range of learning disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), cerebral palsy, selective mutism and language delay.

Danya is also a Lego Therapy Master Trainer and Facilitator, leveraging Lego as a powerful tool to enhance social and communication skills in children, particularly those on the autism spectrum. With Lego therapy, Danya has encouraged collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity in many children in Malaysia.

In her practice, Danya focuses on a comprehensive set of skills, including daily living skills, play and social skills, language and communication skills, cognitive skills, and motor skills. Her well-rounded approach ensures that each child's developmental needs are addressed, promoting balanced growth and independence.

Danya's experience extends internationally, having worked in Singapore as a behavior analyst for over a year, where she also helped train and guide the teams she was a part of. Additionally, she is deeply involved in training educators, shadow aides, and parents to effectively support children with special needs. Through her work, Danya is committed to empowering children and their families to achieve their full potential.
